Google Calendar helpful hints

If you're having some trouble with Google Calendar or are just getting connected and want some helpful hints, this is the place!

 

We have noticed that sometimes the connection between the calendar and Solace needs to be reset in order to update your Solace availability to the most recent match to your calendar. You can do this by “un-syncing” the calendar and then “re-syncing” it. Typically, this will resolve most double-booking issues.

 

You can "re-sync" your calendar by going to your dashboard, clicking "profile and schedule," and then "set your schedule." Click the Google Calendar button to disconnect, then click it again to reconnect. Allow about 30 minutes after reconnecting for your schedule on Solace to update.

 

 

 

Which Google Calendar booking types will work?

Booking types that DO work with the Google Calendar integration:

  • "Out of Office" bookings
  • "Events" slots that you are marked as attending

 

Booking types that DO NOT work with the Google Calendar integration (in these cases, you will need to create a smaller "event" that blocks off those hours):

  • "Events" where you are listed as a “maybe”
  • "Events" that are set for "all day" or multi-day
  • "Events" that are overlapping (Google Calendar will only recognize the event that starts earliest as an event, and it will not see another booking that begins during the existing event)
  • "Tasks"
  • "Appointment slots"
  • Reminder blocks
