About our Advocates (Community Health Workers) (ICA)

Solace is a healthcare advocacy marketplace that connects patients and families to experts who can help them understand and take charge of their personal health. Our advocates are highly qualified and experienced individuals who share our passion for patient advocacy because we all deserve a voice.

What is an advocate?

  • Our advocates are navigators for your medical needs. They can help you with your care team, help you understand your diagnosis, assist you with operation recovery, or support you in insurance negotiation and appeals, to name a few.
  • Depending on your specific needs, we can help find the right advocate for you!

Who are our advocates?

  • Our advocates are former doctors, nurses, pharmacists, hospital administrators, etc. The vast majority have varied medical and personal backgrounds that enable them to do this job well. We are absolutely confident that our advocates can meet our patients' needs.
  • Our advocates are fully qualified as Community Health Workers and have undergone extensive and thorough onboarding processes, which include credential, background, and reference checks.

Where are our advocates?

  • Our advocates are located nationwide. They are extremely resourceful when it comes to finding solutions and resources, no matter their location. Advocacy work is conducted virtually and does not require an advocate to be located within the same jurisdiction or locality.

Navigating the medical system's endless complexities and challenges can be one of the most overwhelming experiences we're likely to face in this day and age. When you have a Solace advocate as an ally, you are no longer navigating that medical journey alone.
