About our Advocates (Insurance-Covered Advocacy/ICA)

Navigating the medical system's endless complexities and challenges can be one of the most overwhelming experiences we're likely to face today. When you have a Solace advocate as an ally, you are no longer navigating that medical journey alone.

Solace is a healthcare advocacy marketplace connecting patients and families to experts who can help them understand and take charge of their health, regardless of location. Our remote advocates are highly qualified and experienced individuals who share our passion for patient advocacy because we all deserve a voice.

What is an advocate? What can they do?

  • Advocates are navigators for your medical needs.
  • Depending on your unique situation, we can help find the right advocate for you!
  • To name a few, advocates can:
      • Help you connect with your care team by scheduling or even attending appointments with you virtually.
      • Help you understand and navigate your diagnosis.
      • Assist you with operation recovery.
      • Support you in insurance negotiation and appeals.
      • Help you find care homes or hospice facilities.
      • More broadly, they will help to amplify your voice to get you the care you deserve!

Who are our advocates?

  • Our advocates are former doctors, nurses, pharmacists, hospital administrators, Board Certified Advocates, etc.
  • The vast majority have varied medical and personal backgrounds that enable them to do this job well. We are confident that our advocates can meet our patients' needs.
  • Licensed in all 50 states, our advocates are fully qualified and have undergone extensive onboarding processes, which include credential, background, and reference checks.

Where are our advocates located?

  • Our advocates are located nationwide and operate remotely.
  • They are incredibly resourceful when finding solutions and resources, regardless of location.
  • Advocacy work is conducted virtually and does not require an advocate to be within the same jurisdiction or locality. Appointments with them are via phone and video calls.
  • NOTE: In-person services are not available.
