Medicare covers Solace's advocacy services. Most patients pay $0 to a small amount per month for our ongoing advocacy programs. The exact amount depends on your specific plan and how much support the patient needs in a given month, and Medicare only confirms it with us after a claim is processed. We don’t send anyone to collections, ever. If cost ever becomes a concern, let us know. We can adjust or pause services at any time.
For patients with Original Medicare:
- If you have Original Medicare and a supplement plan, your share is often $0.
- If you have Original Medicare without a supplement, you may have a small coinsurance after your Part B deductible. This is usually around 20%.
For patients with Medicare Advantage:
- If you have a Medicare Advantage plan, your plan will set a copay/coinsurance for programs like Solace; many are $0 or low, but it varies. Medicare only gives a solid answer after a claim, so we can’t quote an exact number today. What we can do is keep you informed and make changes if cost becomes an issue. We will never send you to collections.
Cost FAQs
-
“Can you tell me exactly what I’ll pay?”
- We can’t quote exact amounts before Medicare adjudicates because it’s inconsistent across plans and months. Most patients pay $0 or very little. We’ll keep you posted, and if cost is a concern, we’ll adjust course.
-
“Why can’t you see my copay?”
- We verify your insurance using eligibility tools, which are helpful but unfortunately not precise for programs like Solace. Medicare (or your Medicare Advantage plan) confirms the amount only after the claim is processed.
-
“What if I can’t afford it?”
- We won’t send you to collections. Tell us, and we can pause or adjust services anytime.
