Patients in the US Healthcare system are going through a lot, so setting clear expectations can go a long way toward alleviating some of their cognitive load.
When you meet for your New Patient Visit, it's ideal to let them know how they can contact you (by phone, text, email, direct message through the Solace portal, etc.) and what to expect for response times, particularly if they're reaching out after hours. Clearly outline the next steps or actions you will take to support them - what method you will use to contact them, and when you will contact them. Make sure you also find out your patient’s preferences.
