Getting Paid (CHW/ICA)

While we're all here to help people navigate the US healthcare system, receiving payment for your efforts is an important piece of the invaluable work you do. It keeps the lights on. Here, we will discuss the ins and outs of getting paid as an insurance-covered advocate at Solace.

How do I get paid?

How much will I be paid?

  • All ICAs are paid $40/hr for work performed with or on behalf of their patients, based on billable hours submitted and approved through timesheets.

When will I be paid?

  • Deposits are sent electronically for arrival on the 15th of the month.
  • Qualifying timesheet submissions include:
    • Work submitted between the 1st and last day of the pay cycle month.
    • Work submitted by the 8th of the current month for the previous month.

Note: When the 8th of the current month passes, you can no longer submit any timesheets for the previous month.

Important Payout Dates:

  • 1st of the Month
      • The new pay cycle begins.
  • 8th of the Month
      • Last day to submit time for the previous month's work.
  • 15th of the Month
      • Deposits for the entire previous month are electronically delivered.
  • Last Day of the Month
      • The current pay cycle ends, but work performed during the month may still be submitted through the 8th of the new month.

A note on STATUSES: In Review

  • This status will update to "Paid" when the payout transfer has been completed
  • This is a reminder that timesheets must be submitted within the date range cycle to be included in the payout. Any submitted within the next cycle will be paid out with the next cycle.
  • For the most accurate and current source of information, please see your bank account deposits utilizing the time ranges explained above.

Will I be paid for new patient visits?

  • Yes! You will track and submit all of your work with and on behalf of your patient through your dashboard's Timesheets. This includes the initial conversation and its prep (even in the event of a patient no-show).
