Advocate Types Explained (ICA vs SICA vs OOP) (Advocate/ICA)

Advocates associated with Solace Health can be sorted into three types. Here, we'll take a brief look at what each of those types are. Note that all advocates working with Solace Health are contractors.

ICA Advocate - Insurance-Covered Advocacy

  • These advocates were already accepting private-pay clients and enrolled in the ICA program to support insurance-covered patients simultaneously.
  • Dashboards for these advocates are called "hybrid" accounts because they contain the functionality to support the two different customer types (private pay "Clients" and ICA "Patients").
  • These advocates are paid $40/hour for their ICA Patients through Timesheet submissions while setting their own rates for their private pay Clients through Contracts and Invoices.
  • Note that ICA Patients cannot view advocate profiles or hand-pick their advocate.

SICA Advocate - Solace Insurance-Covered Advocacy

  • These advocates applied to Solace Health through active position postings that have sought out specific skills and qualifications.
  • These advocates ONLY work with ICA patients.
  • These advocates are paid $40/hour for their ICA Patients through Timesheet submissions.
  • Note that ICA Patients cannot view advocate profiles or hand-pick their advocate.

OOP Advocate - Out-of-Pocket, Private Pay

  • These advocates ONLY work with private pay clients who have reviewed their profile, scheduled an intro call, and decided to hire and contract with their chosen advocate.
  • These advocates set their own hourly and intro call rates through Contracts and Invoices.
