Video calls are a secure, user-friendly way to connect with your Solace intake Physician and Advocate.
Key highlights:
- No need for a computer, you can join a video call meeting from your mobile phone or tablet.
- No need to save new numbers to your phone, simply click the link at meeting time to connect.
- Closed captioning and blurred backgrounds are available.
- You may turn your camera off at any point in time for a voice-style experience.
How will it work?
- The patient is scheduled for a video visit, either with the intake physician or an advocate.
- They will receive a reminder email and text message ahead of the visit, containing the link to join.
- The patient will click that link at the meeting time to be taken to the virtual waiting room.
In the virtual waiting room, the patient can test their speakers and microphone, and set a blurred background if they would like. This is the only opportunity to engage with background preferences.
- Pictured below is the Virtual Waiting Room:
- Pink indicates how to set the blurry background and where to click to "Join Session."
- Blue indicates areas you can click to perform specific actions (testing your speaker and microphone, or expanding and collapsing the side panel).
- Green indicates drop-down, selectable fields pertaining to your mic, speaker, and camera settings. In most cases, the automatic default settings will serve you well.

- Pictured next is an example of how this screen will look on a mobile device. In this example, Closed Captioning is enabled and can be accessed via the "More" button.
- Clicking the camera icon will turn the camera on and off.
- Clicking the microphone icon will mute and unmute.
- Clicking the red door icon will exit the call.
- And that's it! After exiting the call, you'll see an optional feedback field asking how the call's technical quality was. Feel free to engage or skip this step, and return to your day.
