Insurance Card Uploads for Advocates

 

While patients can self-service insurance card uploads if they have a Solace account, Advocates and physicians can send insurance card upload links via SMS and email that direct patients to log in to the portal or create an account, which only takes a moment. 

This update is designed to reduce barriers and make the process smoother for advocates and their patients.


How it works

  • There are two ways to send a patient an SMS and email request to upload their insurance card:
    • Click Upload Insurance Card in the Insurance tab, and then select Ask the Patient
    • In the Collect Insurance Card task, click Send Link to Patient
      • If a patient is not logged in when they open the portal upload link, they will be prompted to do so.
  • Patients can also upload up to three insurance cards on their own at any time on the Your Insurance page in the patient portal, as well as remove outdated ones.
  • Uploading or replacing a card does not affect eligibility status. Card images are used solely for manual verification when needed.
